Decided to make this Easy on everyone since a lot of maps now are between 1mb - 4mb.
And we all know its a complete pain in the ass waiting to download maps to your computer.
God forbid you have formatted or decided to move to a different PC yep you need to re-download
all the Maps, Navs, Skins, Textures, Sounds etc.. This is the biggest pain of playing the game IMO.

So here's how I'm taking the pain out of the whole situation.

Every time i update the game server with new maps or another Council member does
then there will be a MapPack Add on which contain the new map updates they just plug straight in.
Yep it's just that simple, you download the new update pack click a button and you've updated too!

Please NOTE before we start this you must have this map pack installed.
as new updates will be added when ever new maps are added to our game servers.

IF you do not install this MapPack #1 before them updates come out it might not work right.
because the current maps you have installed already might very be different version to our own.
Very un-likely this will happen but if it does it will cause you problems so just start at the beginning.

IF when installing it says the map exists then just select YES to overwrite them all.

RS works of T1 speeds you can get 60MB in just under 5 seconds on a 20mbit line.
so most people here will be on 1mb to 4mb broadband they'd get this whole pack in 5 mins or less.
(doesn't bother our bandwidth so has nothing to do with server/forum/website lag due to it not coming from us)

well that just makes it their loss doesnt it? might be somewhat of an incentive for them to come ... would save them dl time even though im sure 90% of the people out there would rather just dl them individually then come on to the forums

then thats their stupidity lol for the people most regulars who visit the forums they will hopefully see this.

Will be a good idea Flatliner if you add this on the website since you deal with that side.
i'm going to make a nav link left side navbar on the forums so its not hidden and seen on the menu.

If your wondering where the actual installer is these will be the PluginPacks.
Might get some members here a bit curious or dubious running an .exe even if it is from me.
so the main stock pack is just .zip with the maps its upto you people to follow the instructions.rtf.

ALL new updates will need no Instructions and will be an Installer if you dont like the fact it's a .exe
then there will also be a .zip pack fully viewable before install also available.

i was thinking, because i know people are gonna get tired of saying "go to the wp forums for map packs" should add it to those notifications that pop up in the middle of the game n what not from console ... should update those to if we havnt lately

example: "Are you tired of having download the maps from our server? Go to the WP forums and DL the mappack!"

ALSO I've now Re-Designed the Whole Process now the whole thing is built into a Self Installer 3 Clicks!
If you have not already downloaded and installed MapPack#1 then i would do this now before any updates come out.
IF you have already downloaded this previous to today then dont bother re-downloading nothing has been added.
